Data & Privacy

How we handle your data

A plain-language overview of what Instant stores and why. This summary applies during the beta period.

What we collect

When you sign in with GitHub or email, we store your account details (name, email, and avatar) and the GitHub repositories you connect for deployment. We also keep deployment metadata such as commit SHAs, build logs, and runtime configuration.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate the platform: building and deploying your projects, provisioning databases and services, routing traffic, and sending you product and account notifications. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Source code & secrets

We access your repositories only to build and deploy the projects you connect. Environment variables and secrets are encrypted at rest and are never displayed back in plaintext once saved.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete projects at any time, and deleting your account removes your personal data and associated resources.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. For any data or privacy request, email support@instant.rw and we'll respond promptly.

Changes during beta

Because Instantis evolving quickly, this policy may change. We'll notify you of material changes before they take effect.
